Back to School

Back at it again. Fall is my favorite time of year for many reasons. However, this year is just a little bit different. I am working on becoming digitized! I am the teacher of a new offering at our high school, Digital Communication Tools, aka Digi-Tools.

Together as a class we will explore all kinds of Web 2.0 software, prepare print media, utilize apps on iPads in the classroom, and figure out what cloud computing is all about. This will not be done before learning one of Microsoft's best kept secrets, OneNote 2010. Students will learn to use the OneNote software and then be asked to use OneNote to collect research for an upcoming project and presentation.

The best part is that students are going to learn that there is so much more to these digital communication tools than games!!!! They can be productive, gather research, analyze, and create!

Summer To Do List

SUMMER MUST DO's
Last summer I took the class 7 Habits for Highly Effective People. One of the most important lessons I learned was to schedule my first priorities first. . .So, here are my first priorities that I gotta get scheduled fast b/c summer is just around the corner! YEAH!

1. Create memories with my kids.
2. Scrapbook!
3. Play with some digital communication tools.
4. Take a vacation & create a family staycation.
5. Workout.
